I’m Kristin Brenner, and I Work with Couples who want to build a strong relationship to help them feel more grounded, connected, and safe.
We all feel the deep stress of modern life, with endless demands of work, raising children, and caring for aging parents. Your relationship should be a refuge from the storm of life, offering safety and support, but often the overwhelm of life pulls you further apart, stressing the very connection you want to be able to count on.
I am a psychotherapist who works with couples who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in cycles that no longer serve them. I offer a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out—a space where you can slow down, listen inward and to each other, and begin to heal and thrive in your relationship
My approach weaves together self-compassion, nervous system regulation, parts work, and embodiment, and Buddhist psychology to support you in building a strong, healthy, and just relationship. Together, we explore how your past may be shaping your present, how your nervous system is trying to protect you, and how you can create more aligned, sustainable ways of being in relationship with one another.

Bio
I earned my Master’s Degree from the University at Albany in 1997 and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, families, and couples. I am an E-RYT-200 with advanced training in yoga therapeutics, and a mindfulness and self-compassion educator. I approach mental health through a family systems lens, emphasizing emotional connection, awareness, and vulnerability as the foundation for meaningful change. My work integrates mindfulness, self-compassion, Buddhist psychology, internal family systems approaches, coupled with nervous system awareness.
I am trained in the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT) and specialize in couple therapy. I create a space where partners can see one another—and themselves—with greater clarity and compassion, helping couples learn about themselves and become the expert on their partner.
